A family connection to Lewes
Guy first worked at the site as an intern in 1995, during his father’s 30-year tenure. By the facility’s 50th-anniversary year, there had been only two years without a Wiggins onsite. As a child, Guy remembered visiting his father and seeing the helicopter pad used by visiting executives from Rhone-Poulenc Rorer, the owner at the time.
A career in quality and technical service
Guy joined full time in 2001 as a Technical Services Specialist in the Quality department, teaching customers how to test our products. Around ten years later, he moved into the role of Quality Assurance Information Specialist. His 2019 anniversary profile marked 18 years of full-time service.
A facility rooted in its community
The unused helicopter pad became grass, and beach homes changed the view towards the sea. The close-knit character of the facility endured: siblings, cousins, spouses, uncles, nephews, fathers and sons worked together, raised families together and formed lifelong friendships.
Making a difference, together
The Lewes facility has long been part of the community it serves. Guy’s story reflects the people who bring their experience to work every day to support consumers who rely on immediate-relief antacid products.
